The gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Plateau State, Dr Nentawe Yilwatda Goshwe has paid a condolence visit to the former Minister of Sports, Damishi Sango at his country home in Danwal, Ganawuri LGA over the demise of his wife, Mrs Esther Sango.

According to the gubernatorial candidate, though she is gone, he believes she is resting with the Lord as she was a great woman of faith who lived and served Christ till her death.

He said she has gone to a place where death has no sting and where there is no more pain or suffering.

Dr Nentawe urged the bereaved husband to take heart as our hope is in Christ who knows everything.

” We stand with you in this moment of grief and urge you to remain strong and be consoled in the fact that we shall meet at Jesus’ feet on the resurrection day,” Dr Yilwatda stressed.

On his part, the APC Chairman described the deceased as a good woman who has passed on and he prayed to God to grant the former Minister of Sports the fortitude to bear the loss.

Also in his condolence message, Chief Vonjen Lar, a longstanding friend of D.T. Sango and Chairman of Plateau State Teachers Service Commission, described Late Esther Sango as a wonderful woman who gave her husband all the necessary support in his political career.

He said our hope and consolation are only found in the word of God.

According to him, life is a test and God knows all that happens to us and we cannot question him.

Also on a condolence visit was the Chairman of Riyom Local Government, Hon. Mafeng Gwalson and his entire Council Members.

He revealed that they had come individually and they had come as a council because Hon. Damishi Sango is not only a father to all of them but was the Chairman of Barkin Ladi out of which Riyom Local Government was created.

He said the death of Mrs Esther Sango who was a mother to them, is a huge loss to the Local Government Area.

He said the Local Government would be part of the process of the funeral which comes up on 4th February 2023.

In his response, Hon. D. T. Sango said he is greatly consoled by the visit and soothing messages which he appreciated the gubernatorial candidate who led the team.

He described his wife as a wonderful woman whom he believes is resting with the Lord.

He said in old age, the wife becomes the manager of her husband.

According to him, one begins to wonder where to start but God knows what to do with us in situations like this as he would never depart from us.

He revealed that the funeral of his wife is fixed for 4th February in order not to clash with the general elections billed for 25th February next month.
